Sirocco | Video Art Series

Sirocco is a video art series containing nine videos that envisions wind not as an external phenomenon, but as a living force originating from within the body. In most of the videos, I release this wind through blowing, while in one piece the movement of my legs suggests that they themselves are generating it.

The work is inspired by the sirocco, a hot Mediterranean wind associated with arousal, restlessness, and heightened sensory states. Here, the wind does not arrive from the desert, but rises from the depths of the body, made visible through movement and image.

This series is an exploration of the connection between invisible forces, the body, and sensory experience.
