Is nature aware of its own beauty? This question arose after spending time in the desert, a place I associate with purity. Humans can witness the elegance of nature through their own eyes, but I wanted to shift the perspective so that the desert could see itself. In “Narcissus”, I placed round mirrors and basic geometric forms across the Iranian Central Desert. The simplicity of these shapes mirrored patterns found in nature, creating reflections that allowed the land to become both subject and viewer.
