Sea, Wind and Me

Sea, Wind and Me, filmed in 2012 at the port of Murcia, captures my reflection as it moves across the ever-shifting surface of the sea. Each wave reshapes my silhouette — elongating, fragmenting, and reassembling it in organic, unpredictable patterns. In this silent dialogue, the sea and I create a shared choreography of motion and reflection. I am both dancer and image, moving with the rhythms of wind and water. The work celebrates the fluid partnership between body and element, showing how the sea can animate our presence and draw us into a quiet, poetic dance.

The piece was first exhibited in Eleven and a Half Hours, a collaborative exhibition with Dionne Lee, from 18 August to 23 September 2017.
