Runway in Railway

In November 2011, I carried the Runway in Railway performance to Mumbai, India. I invited passengers on the railway to contribute personal items from their pockets or purses, and also offered fabric for drawing or writing. In this setting, I was struck by how freely people engaged—many were eager to leave marks of themselves on the garment. What began as a simple exchange became a vibrant, wearable tapestry of individual expression and cultural connection.
